About the role
- Works closely with other engineering disciplines to assess aircraft hardware/software/firmware design to identify potential safety hazards and propose solutions
- Participates in research and analysis to identify potential or reported manufacturing issues and safety concerns
- Supports identifying safety and mission assurance issues systemic root causes and recommends corrective actions using Boeing best practices
- Participates in tests, analyses, inspections, audits, and simulations to verify systems meet defined safety and mission assurance requirements
- Contributes by documenting safety analysis, hazard mitigation, validation and verification activities in compliance with relevant customer and regulatory safety standards
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Level 3: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 4: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in aerospace systems including MIL-STD 882 safety hazard analysis, air vehicle subsystems hardware and software design, build & test
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, fleet operations
- Ability to travel 50%
