About the role

  • Serve as a senior IT architecture advisor to the Executive Director of Finance and Program Management Systems, providing cross-domain architectural insight, strategic guidance, and decision support
  • Partner closely with Finance, program management, supply chain, infrastructure, and enterprise business systems stakeholders to align Process, Applications, Data and Technology direction with business priorities, operating needs, and transformation goals
  • Lead, advise, and coordinate application architects within the Finance and Program Management IT teams to ensure alignment and consistency with Boeing ASCENT strategic vision for IT
  • Lead cross-function architecture analysis to support strategic roadmap planning, dependency management, and investment decisions
  • Define and maintain current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures across Finance and Program Management Segments across Enterprise Architecture Pillars - Business process, Applications, Data and Technology
  • Create and evolve transition architectures and roadmap options that move fragmented current-state portfolios toward more aligned and supportable future-state SAP and non-SAP centric solutions
  • Provide architecture leadership across Boeing’s Finance and Program Management portfolios, aligning business capabilities, applications, integrations, data flows, and technology strategies to enterprise priorities
  • Assess the application landscape to identify solution overlap, technical debt, integration complexity, supportability concerns, business continuity risks, and modernization opportunities
  • Support application portfolio rationalization by evaluating where capabilities should be sustained, modernized, consolidated, replaced, or newly enabled
  • Ideate and identify innovation opportunities leveraging emerging AI and Data toolset under the current Finance and Program Management applications portfolio that enable Business and IT productivity and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience delivering architecture & design solutions, supporting distributed data systems
  • 10+ years of experience using PPM (Project Portfolio Management) and/or ADLM (Application Development Life-cycle Management) tools (i.e. MS Project, Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA) as part of project implementations
  • 5+ years of experience in searching out and writing principles, reference architectures, roadmaps, design guidelines, best practices in the area of Enterprise Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Application Integration or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of experience automated software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc)
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams through software modernization (tools, process, technology)
  • 5+ years of experience with building APIs, understanding how customers use them, and how to structure a business around them
  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership.
