About the role
- Provide oversight of employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of technology strategy development, model-based systems engineering, data science, software tools, process management and project management
- Champion modern engineering practices including model-based systems engineering, digital engineering tools, and advanced data analytics
- Oversee the FTE Strategic Investment and Capital project portfolio by supporting Long Range Business Planning exercises, enabling project leaders, and ensuring projects are effectively planned and executed to meet key milestones
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, business partners, peers, and direct reports
- Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, staffing plans, metrics and performance measures
- Strive to continuously innovate to improve existing processes and frameworks
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
