About the role
- Translate user stories into action items and iteratively realize the product roadmap in sprints
- Create skeleton code and assign elaboration to Developers/Testers
- Perform analysis of end user processes to define application requirements
- Guide team development efforts, provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support
- Manage code reviews and ensure software quality and best practices
- Use data to streamline product development lifecycle via CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code
- Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues spanning multiple teams
- Work with enterprise architecture and security to ensure maintainability, scalability, and compliance
- Follow new technologies and bring useful technologies into the team
- Understand system inter-relationships and apply systems thinking to accelerate performance
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience leading DevSecOps teams to deploy a cloud or on-prem DevSecOps solutions
- 3+ years of experience in following a software development life cycle (i.e., application development & support)
- 3+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
- 3+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in a high-level language like C#, .NET, Java, SQL, HTML, and CSS
- 1+ years of experience with the configuration of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for data integration
- 1+ years of experience with application modernization best practices, development, and solution architecture including database
- Preferred: 5+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- Experience creating stored procedures, batch jobs, and database normalization
- Experience with Angular for UI design and development
- Experience leading cross-functional teams supporting application development and sustaining activities
- Experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports
- Experience with cloud technologies (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, OpenShift)
- Experience with micro-service-based architecture (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience developing web applications and web services in Microsoft and Java tech stacks
- Experience with software design principles (SRP, Open/Closed, SOLID)
- Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau
- Experience with code analysis tools like Coverity and SonarQube
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
- Export control: Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
