About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
- Ensure daily execution of statements of work, measuring team performance against KPIs ( People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost )
- Understand, commit, communicate and execute the production system plan
- Manage employees analyzing supply chain material requirements, developing and optimizing inventory planning and synchronizing supply chain demands
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operation functions ( Manufacturing, Materials Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supply Chain Operations )
- 5+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams, preferably leading both salary and hourly personnel
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
- 5+ years of experience in a role requiring strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
