About the role
- Develop and maintain a 24-month rolling forecast for the assigned commodity group by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and expert input
- Manage inventory levels by setting and monitoring Min/Max thresholds, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions
- Monitor inventory health to ensure optimal customer service and maintain a high on-time delivery rate
- Prepare and present data and materials for weekly planning meetings with buyers
- Take ownership of key performance metrics including inventory health, on-time delivery, purchasing past due, and forecast accuracy
- Balance supply and demand for parts managed by assigned commodity buyers
- Lead monthly demand review meetings with program customers and cross-functional teams
- Generate and analyze reports using Oracle, SAP, and Access/SQL
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Planning or Supply chain role with a focus on planning and analytics
- Excellent excel skills gained in an analytical role, preferably being able to work with macros and scripting
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis tools such as JDA/SPM and Oracle BI
- Proficiency in SQL, querying databases to support data analysis and reporting
- Experience with ERP system functionality with an emphasis on SAP
- Extensive data analysis skills from a previous role, ideally in forecasting, supply planning or similar
