About the role
- Initiates, collects, compiles, and integrates data for BGS cost reporting for non-labor expenses
- Supports the BGS Contribution process and provides compliance support within STAR
- Assists in the development and improvement of internal senior leadership reports
- Develop forecasts and budgets primarily focused on affordability initiatives
- Executes variance analysis and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior leadership including the BGS Controller and BGS Finance leadership team
- Utilizes insightful analysis to support decision making and helps drive business results
- Completes analysis on large and complex sets of cost data from multiple data sources and makes recommendations to improve cost performance
- Partners with key stakeholders within the Rates & Overhead and BGS Finance teams to identify affordability cost initiatives and tracks progress towards those initiatives
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating and deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve quality, cost, delivery and customer satisfaction
- Establishes partnerships and relationships with peers and functional leaders
- Leads and/or participates in lean activities to continuously improve finance processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related role
- 3+ years of experience presenting and communicating data to Senior Leadership
- 3+ years of experience with process improvement
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
- Experience working with analytics, data and spreadsheets to build presentations and make recommendations
- Experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations
