About the role

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Software Quality Engineers supporting multiple BDS programs
  • Own hiring, performance development, and career progression
  • Translate program technical and contractual requirements into SQE priorities and deliverables
  • Align SQE execution with program schedules and budgets
  • Define and implement SQE processes, checklists, and metrics to verify software compliance, reliability, and safety
  • Provide approval and oversight of technical approaches, software verification strategies, and software quality artifacts
  • Coordinate supplier SQE activities; provide technical direction and assess supplier deliverables for quality and conformance
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements (root-cause analysis, lessons learned, defect reduction)
  • Maintain productive relationships with customers, stakeholders, program managers, and cross-functional teams; escalate and resolve elevated SQE issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of experience supporting software development programs, including hands-on experience with software verification, reviews, or testing
  • 1+ year of experience leading technical teams (people management, mentoring, performance management)
  • 1+ year of proven ability working with program leadership to prioritize and resolve technical quality issues
