About the role

  • Performs project engineering for a variety of seat projects and supplier actions
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for seat design, certification, and installation
  • Communicates project status to various Boeing teams and stakeholders
  • Provides Engineering leadership to a Seats Integration team
  • Responds to changes to SOW and negotiates proposed changes
  • Leads project execution to complete engineering work statement
  • Identifies and reports project technical performance metrics to leadership
  • Performs technical integration of multiple engineering disciplines on complex projects
  • Identifies program level seat risk and works on mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 9+ years of experience working with or equivalent industry experience
  • 14+ years of experience working with or equivalent industry experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of payloads engineering releases and configuration management processes
  • Ability to travel (10-20 percent) international and domestic
  • Experience in implementing and sustaining project management best practices
  • Possess strong attention to detail and effective collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in Certification Plan Authoring
  • Experience in CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, DCCS, and REDARS
  • Experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and EASA equivalent
  • Experience in reviewing technical documents
