About the role
- Provides real-time support to on-orbit GPS Navigation Payload and satellite operations, including investigation of and resolution of satellite anomalies.
- Performs GPS Navigation Payload trending and analysis.
- Maintains software scripts used for data parsing and trending analysis in C#, Python, Java, and Matlab.
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or a closely related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, trending, and reporting
- 1+ years of experience programming in a high-level language such as C#, Python, Java, or MATLAB
- 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems
- (Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience with satellite operations
- 1+ years of experience with the Global Positioning System
- 1+ years of experience in telemetry analysis and trending
- 1+ years of experience in anomaly resolution
- 1+ years of experience in Kalman filter analysis
- 1+ years of experience in Radio Frequency systems
