About the role

Leads and performs the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services (e.g., wireless, data, voice, video, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints
Works collaboratively with other stakeholders (Transport, MAN/WAN, Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams
Creates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards, using design templates and standard implementation packages
Prepares, deploys, and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standards
Provides Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring tools
Supports and participates in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation
Leads and performs implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects using established project management methodologies
Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving

5+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
5+ years of experience with Cisco wireless technologies
5+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations
5+ years of experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocols
5+ years of experience in developing presentations, integrating technical & non-technical content
5+ years of experience with written and verbal communication and presentations
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience (preferred)
CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco Certification (preferred)
Experience with Ansible (Python/Jinga2), Python scripting, Regular Expression, Serial Data Structures (YAML/JASON), or Splunk/Analytics (preferred)
Experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems (preferred)
Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementations
Willing to cover on-call shifts, including weekends and after hours
Must meet export control compliance requirements: must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
