About the role
- Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs
- Leads analysis of end user processes to define and gather application requirements
- Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications
- Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance
- Identifies and recommends improvements
- Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems
- Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements
- Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems
- Reviews system performance and identify and recommend improvements
- Works as a self-starter and customer focus mindset
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with System Integration Design and coding methodologies utilizing Java in JBoss Fuse
- 5+ years of experience gathering and evaluating end user requirements to design application integration solutions
- 5+ years of experience agency implementing customer integrations for supply chain
- 5+ years of experience in information technology in an application development role, performing core activities across the software lifecycle; from requirements gathering and design to coding, testing, integrations, deployments, and production support
- Experience with modern technologies (Angular, Express JS, OpenShift, etc.) and container products service (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
- Experience as a technical team leader in creating and implementing new DevOps processes
- Experience Leading the development of automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline build and deployment workflows (application build and deployment using KCS and GitLab CI)
- Experience leading and integrating government systems with SAP and ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience (preferred)
- 10+ years of experience with COTS, Legacy, and Government system integration development and maintenance (preferred)
- 10+ years of experience performing software, database, integration, and server testing, debugging, and optimization (preferred)
- Experience mentoring and teaching other teammates programming skills and technologies (preferred)
- Experience in guidance for decisions on technical strategies across the product (preferred)
