About the role

  • Leads the engineering design, integration, analysis, testing, and certification of the mission avionics systems
  • Develops and documents complex electronic and electrical system requirements
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs
  • Oversees test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Monitors supplier performance for system integration and compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5 or more years related work experience for Mid-Level or 9 or more years for Senior
  • Experience with defensive systems
  • Experience with data networks
  • Experience with communication systems (HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM, datalink)
  • Experience with navigation systems (GPS, IFF, TACAN)
  • Experience with flight management systems
  • Experience with mission control systems
  • Experience developing requirements and performing requirements decomposition
  • Experience with FAA airworthiness certification
  • Experience with Military airworthiness certification
  • Experience troubleshooting avionics equipment, general electronics, or aircraft systems
