About the role
- Leads the engineering design, integration, analysis, testing, and certification of the mission avionics systems
- Develops and documents complex electronic and electrical system requirements
- Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs
- Oversees test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Monitors supplier performance for system integration and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5 or more years related work experience for Mid-Level or 9 or more years for Senior
- Experience with defensive systems
- Experience with data networks
- Experience with communication systems (HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM, datalink)
- Experience with navigation systems (GPS, IFF, TACAN)
- Experience with flight management systems
- Experience with mission control systems
- Experience developing requirements and performing requirements decomposition
- Experience with FAA airworthiness certification
- Experience with Military airworthiness certification
- Experience troubleshooting avionics equipment, general electronics, or aircraft systems
