About the role

  • Lead projects and cross-functional teams to develop and mature structural analysis methods and tools for Boeing platforms
  • Perform and direct nonlinear finite element analyses and multidisciplinary studies for composite aircraft structures
  • Develop and validate FE models, novel UMAT/VUMATs, scripts, or custom analysis tools
  • Collaborate across global, cross-functional teams and with external partners to capture and manage external R&D programs
  • Support both commercial and defense projects; meet export-control and security clearance requirements
  • Investigate emerging technologies and contribute to transition strategy onto product programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis, including nonlinear FEA
  • Demonstrated leadership of R&D or technical teams and projects
  • Experience collaborating across functional teams and with external customers/partners
  • Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required for clearance)
  • 5+ years relevant experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Abaqus, Nastran, or similar FEA tools
  • Proficiency with Python scripting and development of analysis workflows/tools
  • Experience in multidisciplinary analysis (vibroacoustic, optimization) and structural repair analyses
  • Active U.S. security clearance preferred
