About the role

  • Lead Regional BIM & Digital Operations Execution
  • Oversee day-to-day BIM and digital drafting operations across Puget Sound projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, project requirements, and multidisciplinary coordination needs.
  • Drive BIM Transformation Initiatives
  • Support the Senior Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring enterprise BIM transformation activities—including roadmap execution, technology adoption, workflow modernization, and organizational change management.
  • Enforce and Maintain Enterprise Drafting and BIM Standards
  • Ensure consistent application of enterprise CAD/BIM standards and guidelines across AutoCAD and Revit deliverables; partner with project teams and vendors to monitor quality and adherence.
  • Coordinate Model and Drawing Governance Activities
  • Manage processes for model health, drawing updates, version control, clash mitigation, discipline coordination, and adherence to life-cycle data requirements within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (or similar CDE).
  • Support Design Tool Integration and Interoperability
  • Oversee the integration and consistency of digital tools—including AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and supporting design or data-management platforms—to ensure reliable data flow and model/drawing interoperability.
  • Provide Technical Leadership and Expert Guidance
  • Serve as the regional subject-matter expert for Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows; mentor staff, support project teams, and troubleshoot complex CAD/BIM issues requiring elevated technical judgment.
  • Manage Quality Assurance and Compliance Reviews
  • Conduct periodic audits of models, drawings, and digital deliverables to validate quality, metadata accuracy, and conformance to enterprise standards; develop corrective action plans as needed.
  • Support Vendor and Partner Engagement
  • Collaborate with external architects, engineers, and contractors to clarify BIM expectations, enforce digital deliverable requirements, and drive alignment on owner standards and processes.
  • Develop and Deliver Training and Enablement Programs
  • Create and deliver targeted training materials, knowledge-sharing resources, and onboarding workflows to increase the organization’s maturity in AutoCAD, Revit, and related digital operations processes.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Innovation
  • Identify workflow gaps, efficiency opportunities, and emerging technologies; recommend and implement enhancements that improve model quality, drafting accuracy, data reliability, and digital delivery performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; OR equivalent practical experience in BIM/CAD operations supporting design or construction projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in BIM, CAD management, digital design operations, or related technical design support roles.
  • 3+ years team oversight experience, strong team leadership skills, such as guiding BIM specialists, coordinators, and/or drafting teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, including model authorship, drafting standards, family creation, sheet production, and model coordination workflows.
  • Hands-on experience overseeing or supporting the implementation of BIM standards, digital drafting standards, quality control processes, and project delivery requirements.
  • Experience working in a Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or equivalent) with understanding of model governance, version control, and digital deliverable workflows.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose and address complex 2D/3D model, standards, or interoperability issues.
  • Ability to lead through influence, collaborating across disciplines, regions, and external partners to enforce standards and drive adoption of improved workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Puget Sound region and engage across multiple buildings or campus locations as needed.
