About the role
- Supports developing, analyzing collecting, and storing various system support technical data elements and specifications for evaluation and assists with making recommendations.
- Supports providing recommendations on product supportability and establishing product supportability operational maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for a single equipment subsystem.
- Assists with identifying and analyzing logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and reports.
- Supports determining spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for a single customer and contract type.
- Participates in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/components.
- Supports reviewing aircraft and/or fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.
- Participates in internal and external technical reviews.
- Coordinates and participates in process reviews, project management reviews, and compliance audits.
- Participates in internal technical reviews, engineering integration efforts, and builds technical reports to assist internal and external leadership strategic planning.
- Defines and establishes metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supports implementation of management and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution of learning
- 6+ yrs of relative work experience
- 2+ years of experience supporting the military aviation industry
- Working knowledge of C-17 aircraft engines and/or C-17 Configuration Control and Maintenance Scheduling
- Working knowledge of USAF Field Maintenance Command and Control (FMxC2) Data Systems
