About the role
- Consult with the business on desktop computer hardware configurations and issues
- Perform as a technical advisor to the organizational Business Liaisons and Business Success leaders on desktop computer hardware topics
- Lead cross-functional hardware projects from concept through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to complete hardware evaluations, address technical and delivery concerns, and manage delivery schedules
- Utilize analytics tools to support hardware performance analysis and reporting (analytics experience desired but not required)
- Analyze and document detailed technical specifications, identifying differences and ensuring compatibility across hardware platforms
- Review and assess non-standard deviation requests, i.e. waivers, for desktop productivity software and desktop computer hardware
- Maintain desktop hardware architecture artifacts (requirements, standards, catalog, etc.) and drive continuous improvement in hardware architecture practices
- Support Shared/Group mailbox management, contribute to team website
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/ Server 2012 or greater)
- 5+ years of experience in a role requiring project scheduling/program management skills
- 5+ years of experience in the technical management of suppliers/vendors
- 5+ years of experience with computer hardware and architecture
