Lead a large team of multi-skilled SEIT engineers responsible for supporting the development and delivery of Avionics Products for installation on aircraft platforms.
Define and maintain an integrated verification & validation strategy and certification plan addressing HW, firmware, and software artifacts ensuring alignment with ARP4754B/ARP4761/DO-178C/DO-254/DO-160/DO-330 expectations
Drive system functional decomposition, allocation, and trade studies.
Oversight of all Model Based System Engineering and Simulation activities
Work closely with software and hardware architecture owners to ensure networked avionics interfaces (ARINC 429, ARINC 825, ARINC 664, Ethernet, serial, discrete I/O) are verified end-to-end and meet timing, determinism, and robustness requirements.
Oversight of all Integration and test activities to insure tests are executed as documented and all data has been collected to support post analysis activities
Oversee analysis and disposition of anomalies and non-conformances; prioritize corrective actions, root cause analysis, and re-test strategy.
Oversight of all analysis, reviews and validation of test data to insure the compliance of requirements for both hardware and software
Direct guidance to insure SEIT best practices are being followed and to insure safety and quality of the product
Engages with the customer to insure seamless transition once the product has been delivered including supporting the product after delivery
Oversight of the development of test cases and test procedures that demonstrate compliance to requirements for testing (ie. Design Verification Test, Qualification Test, HW/SW Requirements Based Testing, etc)
Engage with customers and certification authorities as the SEIT lead for program milestone reviews, certification planning, and product transition into operations and sustainment; provide program-level briefings for executives and customers.
Responsible for leading all SEIT milestone reviews and status meetings required as part of the lifecycle of the programs including briefings to executive management and customers
