About the role
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with program milestones, business goals, site expansion efforts and stakeholder needs
- Translate complex aerospace and defense technical and business updates and goals into clear, compelling messages
- Partner with program leadership to drive employee awareness, morale, and alignment
- Serve as a program spokesperson and/or prepare leadership for media interviews
- Counsel executives on key messaging, reputational issues, and presentation strategy
- Create speeches, op-eds, and briefing materials for targeted engagements
- Prepare scenario-based messaging in case of program delays, incidents, or public scrutiny
- Act as a liaison between engineering, program management, manufacturing and safety, HR, legal and business development communications focals to ensure message cohesion
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in strategic communications planning and implementation
- 5+ years of experience creating communications tactics including executive speeches, employee communications, media relations, videos, web content and social media
- 5+ years of experience working in internal, executive and/or external communications, and across a range of communications channels
- 5+ years of experience in Communications (including, but not limited to: corporate communications, news media, and public affairs)
