About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the daily and full-cycle fund accounting operations for multiple fund entities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, accounting standards, internal policies, GAAP, and IFRS
Coordinate annual audits and liaise with internal and external auditors
Develop, monitor, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures
Oversee portfolio investment valuation and accurate calculation of net asset values (NAV)
Provide analytical support for fund performance reporting and management decision-making
Manage and mentor a team of fund accountants
Reconcile cash, positions, and other transactional data; identify and resolve discrepancies
Support automated solutions to streamline accounting processes and reporting
Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within asset management or financial services in an Alternative Investment environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS
Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and data management tools
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
