About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide support and service for BMO’s Investment Operations function and business stakeholders
- Execute and deliver Investment product and service processes in accordance with financial and regulatory controls and operational guidelines
- Lead teams, develop talent, coach employees, recognize performance, and manage performance issues
- Provide strategic input and recommendations to senior leaders on business strategy and initiatives
- Develop business cases, identify needs, analyze options, and assess expected return on investment
- Manage resources and lead strategic initiatives to achieve business and financial goals
- Define business requirements for analytics and reporting, and produce regular and ad-hoc reports
- Monitor and track performance and address issues
- Build and lead change management plans and activities
- Develop communication plans and tailored messaging to influence or change behavior
- Identify and implement best practices and use technology to improve process delivery
- Develop and manage business/group programs and recommend enhancements
- Analyze and resolve complex issues and escalate exceptions to senior management when required
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of tools and training
- Lead or participate in process and system continuous-improvement initiatives
- Oversee vendor relationships and ensure agreements meet requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and services in compliance with controls
- Respond accurately and knowledgeably to internal and external stakeholder questions and requests
- Follow policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements for day-to-day operations
- Check and reconcile information and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Analyze data and provide insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives
- Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risks
- Support development of tools and delivery of training
- Serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders

- Implement changes in response to shifting trends

Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Expert knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology
- Expert knowledge of business-unit products, services, processes, and controls
- Expert knowledge of business risk and regulatory requirements
- In-depth prioritization skills
- Expert customer service skills
- Expert PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge
