About the role
- Provides financial and investment planning and advice
- Determines client needs and provides solutions through managed products
- Engages with customers by providing needs-based assessments
- Implements business development strategies to acquire new business
- Identifies opportunities during customer conversations for referrals
- Supports the achievement of sales and performance targets
- Responds to customer investment requests aligned with goals
- Maintains current knowledge of personal investment products and trends
Requirements
- Typically between 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working towards the regulatory / governing body licensing and registration requirements of a Financial Planner in the province or territory of employment
- Good working knowledge of financial industry
