About the role
- Negotiate amicable solutions and utilize knowledge of debt collection practices
- Educate customers on their obligations of contracts
- Deal with sensitive customer situations effectively
- Respond to customer inquiries and escalations
- Maintain poise in dealing with dissatisfied customers
- Determine root causes of issues to propose appropriate options
- Interview customers and update profiles and security statuses
- Identify and recommend improvements to job operational effectiveness
Requirements
- Must have Collections experience
- Extensive knowledge of BMO Retail lending products and procedures
- Knowledge of Privacy Legislation and the Collection Act
- Ability to assess and mitigate issues related to Privacy, Legal, and Reputational Risk
- Strong problem solving and conflict management skills
- Good working knowledge of Bank Systems like Strata, ECP, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
