About the role

  • Decisioning and analysis of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank.
  • Maintain and promote a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations.
  • Make credit decisions and recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and Bank Policies & Procedures.
  • Foster a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy; coach, develop, and manage team performance.
  • Establish cross-selling initiatives to increase penetration with clients and act as a daily escalation resource.
  • Apply deep expertise in bank products, processes and systems; coordinate closings with clients and attorneys.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to assigned business/group; influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct independent analysis, develop financial models, and design reports and dashboards.
  • Oversee preparation of credit correspondence, lending proposals and pitches; negotiate transactions and provide deal structuring expertise.
  • Oversee documentation and ongoing monitoring of asset and client performance; minimize BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies.

Requirements

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
