About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage delinquent mortgage and loan accounts
  • Ensure foreclosure proceedings are initiated and tracked in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with legal teams, real estate agents, and internal departments
  • Prepare and review foreclosure documentation accurately
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to management
  • Monitor and manage overdue mortgage or loan accounts
  • Address complex escalated customer requests and transactions
  • Execute established loss mitigation processes for non-performing and high-risk accounts
  • Provide advice related to payments and overall collections strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to established qualification standards
  • Knowledge of federal, state/provincial and local laws pertaining to Consumer Collections
  • Knowledge of BMO products and services
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth
