About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides support for all activities related to cloud and infrastructure across a variety of platform and operating systems
  • Effectively provisions, installs/configures, operates, and maintains systems hardware, software and related infrastructure
  • Builds and maintains the day-to-day operation of computer networks
  • Installs, configures, and maintains firewalls to ensure network security
  • Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups
  • Procures routers or switches, and other network equipment to enhance efficiency in IT infrastructure
  • Applies expertise to plan, implement, oversee and maintain both on-premise and cloud based server and network infrastructures
  • Plans, coordinates and project manages hybrid cloud related projects
  • Develops new service catalogue offerings and products for both Public cloud and Software Defined Data Centre platform
  • Provides architecting and engineering expertise in cloud solution in the infrastructure (IaaS) and platform (PaaS)
  • Participates in the building and operation of the DevOps infrastructure
  • Implements automation so as to improve operation, security and cost efficiency
  • Collects and defines technical requirements to enable business processes and integrations
  • Establishes governance and enforces quality standards for cloud software and infrastructure architectures
  • Advises development teams with their on-prem infrastructure architecture in preparation for cloud migration
  • Deploys and debugs code for cloud initiatives aligned with best practices
  • Assists development teams with cloud transformation of applications
  • Oversees monitoring/site reliability engineering (SRE) solutions and advance monitoring capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
