About the role
- Serve as the first analytics leader within the product team and report to the VP of Product.
- Serve as a strategic analytics partner to senior leadership to shape product roadmap priorities using a data-driven approach.
- Design core frameworks for tracking, measurement, KPI design, and overall data strategy for product performance.
- Conduct advanced, hands-on analyses of user behavior, funnels, feature adoption, and engagement trends.
- Support A/B experimentation and establish best practices for test-and-learn culture.
- Partner with data engineering to build, deliver, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools enabling self-service and executive visibility.
- Audit and improve event tracking, data quality, and product instrumentation in collaboration with engineering.
- Establish and document the foundational analytics framework that future analysts will build on.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 4+ years focused on product analytics in high-growth environments.
- Experience working in Fintech or with highly-regulated consumer facing products.
- Deep proficiency in SQL and experience with tools like Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Mode, or similar.
- Strong data storytelling and stakeholder management skills—you know how to influence without authority.
- Expertise in experiment design, hypothesis testing, and statistical interpretation.
- Proven success operating independently in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
- Comfort balancing both strategic thinking and detailed hands-on execution.
- Preferred: Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis.
- Preferred: Familiarity with product data infrastructure, tagging plans, and event design.
