About the role
- Design and develop high-quality applications for Bluelight clients
- Work on a variety of client projects, accelerating career growth
- Collaborate with modern technologies and cross-functional teams
- Build and optimize MySQL-backed systems and queries for performance and scalability
- Implement and secure backend systems including authentication
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs in Laravel
- Write and maintain tests using Pest PHP and PHPUnit to ensure code quality
- Contribute to large-scale multitenant SaaS applications and deliver on client commitments
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with Laravel, specifically with Laravel 8 and above
- Expertise in MySQL database performance optimization
- Strong hands-on experience in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries
- Proficiency with database schema design and normalization/denormalization strategies
- Experience with Eloquent ORM and Laravel Query Builder
- Experience working in complex large-scale multitenant SaaS applications
- Solid experience with Laravel Authentication and security practices
- Experience with testing tools such as Pest PHP and PHPUnit
- Proficiency in designing and implementing robust, scalable RESTful APIs in Laravel
- Experience with ReactJS is a plus
- Ability to take extreme ownership and meet estimates and process expectations
- Forensic attention to detail
