About the role
- Perform detailed claims payment quality reviews and coding compliance audits
- Communicate audit results and recommend corrective actions
- Review claims materials and medical record information
- Plan and conduct investigations for certain claims
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 2 years of facility inpatient or outpatient coding and/or auditing experience
- Current AHIMA or AAPC coding certification (CPC or CCS preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Analytical skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
