Key responsibilities & impact

Produce deliverables related to assigned projects
Perform analysis, design, programming, and implementation of systems and procedures to solve complex business or scientific problems
Evaluate interrelationships in the programming area and assess impacts of program changes
Apply conversions and enhancements to business systems
Lead or provide expertise on assigned projects
Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and design technical solutions
Ensure solutions align with business and IT strategies and architectural standards
Assist with post-implementation support and system enhancements
Test modified and designed programs, create test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write documentation
Design and develop IT systems
Devise new data sources, approaches, and techniques
Participate in the full systems life cycle, including designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting complex application software
Provide guidance to lower-level programmers and analysts
Act as an internal consultant providing technical guidance on complex projects
Determine and resolve problems with systems analysts, programmers, and systems users

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a job-related field
6 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience
Alternatively, an associate degree plus 2 additional years of job-related experience for a total of 8 years, or 10 total years of required work experience
Comprehensive understanding of application development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies in mainframe, midrange, web, and/or PC/LAN environments
High technical proficiency in programming languages, platform capabilities, systems analysis, and program design
Knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
Familiarity with project management concepts
Ability to assess requirements, alternatives, and risks/benefits for low- to high-impact projects
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
In-depth understanding of organizational functions, behavior, and interrelationships
.NET Framework and C# proficiency preferred
MS SQL database knowledge preferred
OnBase experience preferred
