About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify training needs and lead, plan, and prioritize training projects from needs assessment through final delivery
  • Facilitate technical and non-technical training for employees, business partners, external customers, and other audiences
  • Ensure training deliverables meet customer specifications and due dates
  • Develop, revise, and update training materials
  • Develop trainee and training performance assessments and testing materials
  • Analyze training needs and develop solutions using blended learning techniques and innovative technology/tools
  • Gather quality-audit and team-development-survey data and incorporate it into training deliveries
  • Track and monitor team interactions and provide feedback to trainees and management
  • Identify developmental needs and provide guidance, coaching, and train-the-trainer sessions
  • Prepare reports and presentation materials
  • Facilitate training for all levels of management
  • Evaluate training trends, techniques, and programs
  • Maintain training databases, reports, assessments, and other materials
  • Contribute expertise as a member of various functional groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree, or 4 years of job-related work experience, or an Associate's degree and 2 years of job-related work experience
  • 3 years of job-related work experience, including 2 years of training experience and 1 year of insurance-related work experience
  • U.S. Citizen status to obtain a security clearance
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • PC skills to support development of training programs and materials
  • Experience with standard classroom and office equipment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to learn corporate and other required systems
  • Familiarity with training technology including audio/visual, virtual, podcasts, webinars, and tele-conference tools
  • Strong verbal, written, and human relations skills
  • Strong research, planning, data-gathering, and data-analysis skills
  • Strong design and development skills for creating outputs in various methods
  • Strong organizational skills for scheduling, prioritizing, and completing assignments
  • Ability to learn multiple lines of business and job functions
  • Ability to understand a complex technical environment
  • Ability to work with little to no management supervision
  • Training material development and classroom presentation skills for large groups and varied audiences
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and learning-development methodologies
  • PowerPoint experience preferred
  • DDI Master Trainer, Langevin, or ASTD certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Journalism, English, or Public Speaking preferred
