About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the management of assigned claims operation(s)
- Ensure investigation and adjudication of claims meet performance standards and objectives
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business partners
- Responsible for the development of claims staff, vendors, and contractors
- Complete requests for proposal, bids, and due diligence on potential new jurisdictions
- Assist claims senior management team in achieving departmental and corporate strategies and goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (or 4 years job related work experience / Associate's degree + 2 years job related work experience)
- 2 years of area related adjusting experience
- Valid adjustor's license in required states or ability to acquire within 6 months
- Analyzes laws, regulations and contract language
- Evaluates issues and develops recommendations
- Handles confidential and sensitive information
- Investigates assigned claims
- Proposes claims adjustments and refunds
- Works claims caseloads
