Operations Centre Operator
BluEarth RenewablesRemote Operations Centre Operator managing performance and safety of renewable transmission operations. Coordinating control room activities and supporting field personnel while maintaining compliance.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor real-time performance of renewable fleet
- Investigate alarms and reset wind turbines and inverters
- Notify facility operators of trend or fault issues
- Coordinate planned and forced outages
- Document all operating events in accordance with BEROC procedures
- Support the development of standard and emergency operating procedures
- Operate and monitor SCADA systems and analytics tools
- Compile relay reports, equipment data, and historical data trend analysis
- Coordinate all control room activities
- Maintain individual development plan in collaboration with supervisor
- Promote a strong team culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering Technology diploma or degree
- Experience working in power generation, transmission, or distribution industry
- Knowledge of renewable power generation operations, functionality, and design
- Ability to read and interpret SLD’s and other procedural manuals and schematics
- Technical knowledge in troubleshooting electrical and communications systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work a shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift-up to 20 pounds
- Certification or qualifications in work protection practices is an asset
