About the role

  • Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies
  • Be creative and suggest new ideas and games for wacky water and other fun activities
  • Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities, and adapt activities to meet participant needs
  • Greet new arrivals to activities, introduce them to other participants, explain facility rules, and encourage participation
  • Follow the daily procedure for opening and closing the activities center, including the pool area, locking the right doors, and cleaning up
  • Set up activities before the activity starts time
  • Clean up activities immediately upon conclusion
  • Maintain crafts and games neat and in working order; keep activities area orderly and clean
  • Keep inventory of guest participation, equipment, and guest interactions daily
  • Responsible for sign-out procedures of games and equipment
  • Keep stock, submit order requests, and inform the manager when supplies are low
  • Conduct and actively participate in water games (in the pool), such as water volleyball and other pool activities
  • Responsible for enforcing safety rules and procedures with guests
  • Ensure guests' safety during activities
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures, including collecting monies, room/site charging, logging the money into the computer program, obtaining and distributing a receipt with the guest's signature, writing information on the daily room charge ledger, and handing the log to the Front Desk and dropping cash at the close of shift
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Reliable attendance is required!

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
