About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supporting the Integrated Healthcare Transformation initiative at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Coordinating with development and user teams to assess risks, set goals, and ensure requirements are met throughout design and construction.
  • Identify and introduce new infrastructure while minimizing disruptions.
  • Managing technical aspects of large federal projects and providing expertise in network IT and MEP system designs.
  • Performing construction forensics and continuously addressing project risks and needs at every stage.
  • Measuring program success, outcomes, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting the management of projects and programs to enhance productivity and performance.
  • Developing and contributing to program reports, briefings, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with VHA leadership and cross-functional teams to align program goals with Veteran healthcare needs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Construction Management, Facility Architecture, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, including experience in engineering, construction project/program management.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to evaluate and assess effectiveness of the operations.
  • Ability to manipulate data to present program status and make recommendations on improving business processes.
  • Background in clinical informatics and SAFe’s Lean Agile principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and engaging stakeholders.
  • MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
