About the role
- Complete quarterly reporting to analyze and monitor the profitability of group insurance products
- Identify and implement enhancements to reporting processes to support our efficiency initiatives
- Create and/or populate actuarial models to price various group life products and revisions
- Provide support to the underwriting team for large/complex quotes
- Communicate with reinsurance partners regarding quotations and technical pricing models and evaluate/review reinsurance treaties
- Support the implementation and testing of new products or product changes in quotation tools and administrative systems
- Adapt current business processes and tools to test and accommodate the roll-out of new IT systems and data sources
Requirements
- University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or another closely related field
- Progress toward ASA and/or ACIA designation considered an asset
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest and experience in process improvement and automation initiatives
- Experience building, documenting, and maintaining business process models
- Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues within complex data sets
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative project team
- Knowledge of group insurance products considered an asset
- Bilingualism (EN/FR) is considered an asset.
