About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the accounting and reporting team
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting
  • Oversee accounting controls, reporting policies, close activities, and general ledger maintenance and security
  • Guide the preparation, analysis, and review of internal and external financial reports
  • Monitor emerging accounting matters, including GAAP and SAP requirements
  • Develop strategies to address related reporting needs
  • Ensure adherence to financial accounting and reporting controls
  • Design, recommend, implement, maintain, and monitor accounting and reporting processes, policies, and systems
  • Drive process improvements and simplification
  • Manage organizational change relating to accounting and reporting processes and systems
  • Review and approve journal entries
  • Ensure accounting and reporting policies are clear, current, relevant, and communicated
  • Ensure account reconciliations are completed according to policy
  • Manage headcount and open positions
  • Validate budget variances and rationale
  • Support vendor contract management, terms, and compensation
  • Lead departmental budget planning
  • Forecast vendor spend with business partners
  • Manage offshore vendor work
  • Manage external financial audits and financial examinations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 8+ years of experience in a related field
  • In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant OR Certified Internal Auditor highly preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP and SAP requirements
  • Authorization to work in the United States
