About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat clinic patients according to standards of care
- Follow medical care and quality levels and monitor care using available data and chart reviews
- Coordinate patient services and refer patients to network resources as needed
- Participate in daily care-team huddles as a source of medical expertise
- Foster a cooperative, professional, and approachable practice environment
- Complete medical record documentation in a timely manner
- Follow policies and protocols defined by Clinical Leadership and BCBSAZ
- Meet with departments regarding quality of care, outcome data, policies, procedures, and records issues
- Participate in potential growth opportunities for new or existing services
- Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, social/community organizations, and marketing partners
- Work 100% onsite at the care-center location, with movement between clinics as needed
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current and unrestricted Arizona medical license
- Graduation from an accredited MD or DO program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationship and communication skills with colleagues and patients
- Full engagement in an integrated team-based care model
- Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to a value-based care setting
- Superior patient/customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- BLS certification
- Active Arizona fingerprint clearance card
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
