About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead planning and execution of major donor stewardship touchpoints and process management
  • Lead CEO and executive leadership stewardship correspondence and acknowledgements
  • Coordinate reviews, approvals, tracking, and submission of donor correspondence
  • Compile and review major donor outreach mail/email lists, including quality control and opt-in/opt-out reviews
  • Track stewardship deliverables and deadlines
  • Coordinate production and delivery of impact reports, milestone recognitions, and event follow-ups
  • Lead planning and execution of the major donor reporting program and reporting calendar
  • Manage adoption and performance of the video messaging platform, including calendars, distribution lists, and staff training
  • Collaborate with Philanthropy to connect donor interests with organizational priorities through internal communications
  • Oversee stewardship communications and resources in Donor Engagement systems and Salesforce
  • Improve CRM systems and processes to support frontline staff and major donors
  • Leverage Salesforce and video messaging platform data to identify trends and inform stewardship strategies
  • Maintain accurate constituent records, donor preferences, and communications in the CRM
  • Identify and escalate data quality issues with Data Insights and IT teams
  • Ensure stewardship actions support analysis, planning, and reporting
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner across Donor Engagement, Philanthropy, Executive Operations, and Mission
  • Engage senior and executive leaders on complex donor strategies
  • Manage sensitive donor relationships and cross-functional communications with accountability and discretion
  • Support reporting on stewardship progress and effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible related experience in donor stewardship, fundraising operations, or major gifts in a nonprofit organization
  • Experience supporting a major gift fundraising team
  • Strong understanding of donor engagement and stewardship best practices
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Experience maintaining CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and tracking donor activity and preferences
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Occasional travel required, approximately 2 times per year
  • Relevant coursework or certifications in nonprofit management, communications, or fundraising is a plus
  • Experience with Canva or other design tools is a plus
