About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build the core gameplay runtime in Go
Build a tamper-evident, append-only ledger
Build the game configuration system and simulation tools
Build the integration layer between our platform and operator partners
Build client-facing surfaces (WebSocket and REST)
Drive architectural decisions for determinism, idempotency, and auditability
Deploy on AWS (ECS)
Work contract-first, with strong API contracts

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of backend engineering, with a strong Go track record.
Built and shipped real-money gaming backend systems end to end.
Money-correct by reflex: idempotency keys, integer minor units, append-only ledgers, double-entry thinking.
Deep experience with distributed systems, real-time messaging, and low-latency request paths.
Fluency with gRPC, REST, and WebSockets.
Comfortable in AWS environments.
Strong instincts for reliability, observability, and security in regulated financial contexts.
Excellent communicator, pragmatic, and happy to make decisions in a small senior team.
