About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead end-to-end infrastructure and application migration projects to AWS (lift-and-shift, replatforming, re-architecture)
Conduct technical discovery and assessment of legacy environments, identifying risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities
Design cloud-native architectures using microservices, containers (EKS), serverless functions (Lambda), and managed databases
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
Perform AWS Well-Architected Reviews and implement security, performance, and cost recommendations
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, data, and business teams to ensure deliverables align with the client's roadmap
Document architectures, technical decisions, runbooks, and rollback plans
Serve as a technical reference and mentor for junior and mid-level team members throughout projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of software engineering experience focused on cloud and migrations
Hands-on experience with AWS: EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, Migration Hub, DMS, and MGN
Proficiency in IaC with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of Python and/or Java for development and automation in migration projects
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional is a plus
Experience with AWS MAP (Migration Acceleration Program) is a plus
