Lead legacy system modernization initiatives, designing and implementing scalable, secure, service-oriented architectures;
Define and evolve architectures based on RESTful APIs, messaging and microservices;
Design cloud-native solutions using Azure ecosystem capabilities (App Services, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, etc.);
Actively participate in solution development by reviewing code, implementing POCs and ensuring adherence to best practices;
Explore opportunities to apply Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to increase efficiency, enable automation and generate business value;
Promote the adoption of modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability and security;
Collaborate with product, engineering and business stakeholders to align the technical vision with strategic objectives;
Support the technical development of the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field;
Proven experience modernizing legacy systems in regulated or mission-critical environments (e.g., banks, payment providers, fintechs);
Strong expertise in Azure and its core offerings for distributed applications;
Proficiency in designing and implementing APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures;
Hands-on experience with languages such as Go, C# or Python, and modern development frameworks;
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containers and IaC (e.g., Bicep, Terraform or ARM Templates);
Experience with projects involving AI or ML, even if at an early or experimental stage;
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams;
Knowledge of information security practices applied to cloud environments and APIs.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) will be considered a differential;
Experience with card systems and integration with banking systems will be considered a differential;
Contributions to technical communities or open source projects will be considered a differential.
