About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead French statutory accounting and own monthly and annual closes
- Manage the relationship with the external accounting firm
- Lead the company's tax compliance across direct and indirect taxes
- Design and own the company's accounting policies
- Build and own the bad debt provisioning and collections framework
- Build and maintain reconciliation workflows
- Lead audit readiness preparation
- Drive automation and AI adoption across the finance function
- Contribute to the broader finance systems roadmap
- Partner with the Data Lead to ensure finance data needs are met
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated experience managing external accounting partners and statutory auditors
- Strong knowledge of French statutory accounting (Plan Comptable Général)
- Hands-on experience with modern accounting platforms or ERP systems (Pennylane, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
- Sector experience in crypto or fintech is highly valued
- Languages: native French, professional working proficiency in English
- Strong technology and data fluency
- Holistic perspective and strong business judgment
- High autonomy and ownership mindset
