About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the day-to-day accounting function, including bookkeeping, AP, AR across multiple regions
Ensure month-end close is completed accurately and on time, including review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Maintain schedules of balances for key balance sheet accounts and ensure ongoing accuracy
Identify and submit statutory returns and filings across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring full regulatory compliance
Enforce company-wide accounting policies, internal controls, and segregation of duties
Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed
Simplify existing workflows and design new processes to streamline accounting operations
Leverage automation and AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of close, reconciliation, and reporting activities
Provide accurate, timely management reporting and balance sheet analysis to the Director of Finance and leadership
Collaborate with Payroll, Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to support cross-functional financial workflows
Help shape and execute financial process improvements tied to company-wide initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting management role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, month-end close, and multi-region statutory reporting
Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero)
High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work on own initiative in an ambiguous environment
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with experience using modern AI tools to improve finance workflows
Strong command of English, both written and verbal
Nice to Have: Qualified ACCA, CPA, CIMA (or comparable accounting qualification)
Existing knowledge of US GAAP
Experience rolling out new accounting or ERP software
Background in crypto, blockchain, or fintech industries
Experience working in a remote, distributed, global team setup
