About the role
- Set up and maintain hardware-in-loop automated tests for wired and wireless embedded and server products
- Define the architecture of test systems and influence design-for-testability
- Work with hardware, firmware and software engineers to define tests, equipment and toolsets
- Monitor and improve feature test coverage, support bug solving and manage testing part of CI/CD pipeline
- Define and maintain test plans and test cases; write tests based on test cases
- Select and set up hardware and test equipment for automated tests; run smoke, routine, stress and regression tests; compile reports and statistics
- Reproduce and isolate bugs using automated diagnostics and targeted test cases
- Increase test coverage based on reported bugs and collaborate with firmware, electronics, and cloud teams
- Develop electronics series production tests based on development tests
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to assure compliance with standards and regulations
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience automating tests for embedded systems (preferably wireless / low-power devices)
- Strong practical knowledge of electronic lab equipment automation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, DAQs, I/O cards, etc.)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, capable of leading testing initiatives
- Fundamental understanding of electronics and hardware-software interaction
- Experience with CI/CD systems and test orchestration
- Strong interest in building automation
