About the role

  • Set up and maintain hardware-in-loop automated tests for wired and wireless embedded and server products
  • Define the architecture of test systems and influence design-for-testability
  • Work with hardware, firmware and software engineers to define tests, equipment and toolsets
  • Monitor and improve feature test coverage, support bug solving and manage testing part of CI/CD pipeline
  • Define and maintain test plans and test cases; write tests based on test cases
  • Select and set up hardware and test equipment for automated tests; run smoke, routine, stress and regression tests; compile reports and statistics
  • Reproduce and isolate bugs using automated diagnostics and targeted test cases
  • Increase test coverage based on reported bugs and collaborate with firmware, electronics, and cloud teams
  • Develop electronics series production tests based on development tests
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to assure compliance with standards and regulations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience automating tests for embedded systems (preferably wireless / low-power devices)
  • Strong practical knowledge of electronic lab equipment automation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, DAQs, I/O cards, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, capable of leading testing initiatives
  • Fundamental understanding of electronics and hardware-software interaction
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and test orchestration
  • Strong interest in building automation
