About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor cash flow and manage invoicing and payment collections.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial projections.
Track and report on budget performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, expense management, and vendor relations.
Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Utilize financial software and tools to streamline and automate financial processes.
Work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Google Sheet, financial ERP systems).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment (preferred).
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry (preferred).
Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling (preferred).
Relevant professional certification is a plus (preferred).
