About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership over a portfolio with a real diversity of stacks, guiding architecture, incident prioritization, and standardization across repositories.
Make architecture decisions spanning Quarkus/Java 17, Spring Boot/Java 21 (secondary business line), NestJS/TypeScript (support), and multiple React and React Native applications.
Prioritize incidents and backlog items considering the business impact of each area.
Guide the use of MongoDB and SQL Server as equally relevant datastores, each predominant in different parts of the backend.
Propose and drive standardization across repositories (UI Kit, routing, form validation, state management, and CI pipelines).
Serve as the technical point of reference for AWS Cloud architecture decisions, including SQS versus synchronous calls, S3 access policies, and sizing and scalability in Kubernetes/Helm.
Lead the adoption and expansion of code quality tools (SonarQube/Qodana) across repositories that do not yet have quality gates configured.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in Java microservices architecture (Quarkus and/or Spring Boot).
Knowledge of Node.js/NestJS.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server and MongoDB).
Experience with AWS (object storage, queues/asynchronous processing and related services), Docker, and Kubernetes/Helm.
Experience driving technical standardization across teams and/or repositories.
Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) and static code analysis tools.
