Better Living Health and Community ServicesPersonal Support Worker at Margaret Bahen Hospice assisting with daily living activities. Providing end of life care and emotional support to Residents and their Caregivers in a home-like environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Providing assistance with all activities of daily life
- End of life care to Residents and their Caregivers
- Implement the plan of care
- Provide a home-like environment, emotional, social and spiritual support
- Personal care that reflects the individual needs and preferences of each Resident
- Prepare, deliver, and assist with meals as requested or required by the Resident
- Ensure rooms are clean and tidied in accordance with preferences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Personal Support Worker Diploma from an accredited college
- Post graduate training in hospice or palliative care preferred
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience in community healthcare, long-term care or hospital setting
- Preference is given to individuals with work experience in hospice or palliative care
- Successful completion of Vulnerable Sector Screening within one month of employment
