About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Providing assistance with all activities of daily life
End of life care to Residents and their Caregivers
Implement the plan of care
Provide a home-like environment, emotional, social and spiritual support
Personal care that reflects the individual needs and preferences of each Resident
Prepare, deliver, and assist with meals as requested or required by the Resident
Ensure rooms are clean and tidied in accordance with preferences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Personal Support Worker Diploma from an accredited college
Post graduate training in hospice or palliative care preferred
Minimum of 2 years related work experience in community healthcare, long-term care or hospital setting
Preference is given to individuals with work experience in hospice or palliative care
Successful completion of Vulnerable Sector Screening within one month of employment
