About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage risk and liability across Betr's sportsbook markets in accordance with Betr risk and trading SOPs.
- Price and trade markets in real time, including in-play/live betting, adjusting lines as action, news, and game state evolve.
- Monitor league news, injuries, lineups, and weather to make real-time market adjustments ahead of and during events.
- Set and adjust Betr's opening and closing lines in coordination with market consensus and sharp market movement.
- Manage liability limits, exposure, and bet acceptance thresholds across accounts and markets.
- Assist in analyzing daily reports to ensure proper customer/account profiling, hold rates, and other key trading metrics.
- Collaborate with operations and trading tech to enhance market coverage, latency, and the overall customer experience.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience trading in a Sports Betting platform
- Strong analytical skills and ability to calculate odds
- Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Problem solving and strong critical thinking
- You thrive in a fast paced environment and are not intimidated by ambiguity or change
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive initiatives from end-to-end, holding to a high standard of excellence
- An entrepreneurial mindset with excellent organizational skills, the ability to be flexible, & prioritize responsibilities
