About the role
- Deliver Data Science Projects: Work with your team to execute end-to-end data science projects, including data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, validation, and deployment.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and uncover patterns, trends, and correlations that provide valuable insights to support business objectives.
- Machine Learning and Modelling: Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms and techniques, such as regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, natural language processing, and deep learning.
- Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with different teams, including product and engineering.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of existing models and algorithms, and identify areas for optimization and innovation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other data scientists and contribute to building a strong data science team.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and techniques.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data science or similar role, with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering data-driven projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
- Frameworks like LightGBM, Xgboost, Tensorflow, PyTorch are a plus
- Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark or SQL.
- Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Expertise in virtual environments such as anaconda
- Experience with Docker would be considered a plus
- Experience with ML clouds such as AWS, GCP, or Azure would be considered a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to think critically, and interpret complex data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields.
